2017-2018年美國(guó)數(shù)學(xué)大聯(lián)盟杯賽復(fù)賽安排通知

　　復(fù)賽的考試時(shí)間

　　復(fù)賽考試時(shí)間是2018年1月20日至2018年2月25日(暫定)。學(xué)生可以從2018年1月20日起在官網(wǎng)下載復(fù)賽題目， 于2018年2月25日23點(diǎn)59分前在官網(wǎng)提交復(fù)賽答案、錄制并上傳一段音頻文件、預(yù)約電話面試時(shí)間。

　　復(fù)賽的目的

　　有計(jì)劃參加2018年暑假在美國(guó)舉行的美國(guó)“數(shù)學(xué)大聯(lián)盟杯賽”決賽和夏令營(yíng)的同學(xué)必須要參加復(fù)賽， 只有復(fù)賽合格(晉級(jí))了，才能赴美參加決賽和夏令營(yíng)。但是復(fù)賽的目的不僅僅是為了參加決賽和夏令營(yíng)。 應(yīng)該說(shuō)參加復(fù)賽取得決賽和夏令營(yíng)的資格僅僅是復(fù)賽的一小部分目的。

　　美國(guó)“數(shù)學(xué)大聯(lián)盟杯賽”組委會(huì)在中國(guó)舉辦美國(guó)“數(shù)學(xué)大聯(lián)盟杯賽”的終極目的是為了讓中國(guó)學(xué)生更多地了解和體驗(yàn)美國(guó)數(shù)學(xué)教學(xué)及數(shù)學(xué)競(jìng)賽與中國(guó)的不同。 “如果美國(guó)的中小學(xué)教育像傳說(shuō)中說(shuō)的那么糟糕，為什么美國(guó)的大學(xué)那么牛？ 如果美國(guó)人的數(shù)學(xué)那么差，為什么諾貝爾獎(jiǎng)、獎(jiǎng)菲爾茨獎(jiǎng)(數(shù)學(xué)最高獎(jiǎng))都是美國(guó)人獨(dú)領(lǐng)風(fēng)騷？ 為什么美國(guó)無(wú)論是科技還是人文的創(chuàng)新，都那么發(fā)達(dá)？”

　　復(fù)賽的目的是為了讓中國(guó)學(xué)生體驗(yàn)美國(guó)數(shù)學(xué)教學(xué)的優(yōu)點(diǎn)和特點(diǎn)， 即美國(guó)啟發(fā)式、重視應(yīng)用、輕松、有趣、與實(shí)際生活緊密相關(guān)、研究、探索式的教學(xué)方式， 啟發(fā)學(xué)生如何 thinking mathematically， 培養(yǎng)學(xué)生 creative thinking, critical thinking, and problem solving skills， 即探索如何用數(shù)學(xué)解決實(shí)際生活中的問(wèn)題， 培養(yǎng)學(xué)生創(chuàng)造性思維、批判性思維、和實(shí)際解決問(wèn)題的能力。

　　What is “Thinking Mathematically?”

　　Many people associate mathematics with tedious computation, meaningless algebraic procedures, and intimidating sets of equations.

　　The truth is that mathematics is the most powerful means we have of exploring our world and describing how it works.

　　To be mathematical literally means to be inquisitive, open-minded, and interested in a lifetime of pursuing knowledge.

　　Creative Thinking, Critical Thinking, and Problem Solving Skills:

　　Creative thinking that focuses on the skills of fluency, flexibility, elaboration, and originality coupled with the affective characteristics associated with creativity such as curiosity and risk-taking.

　　Critical thinking as the intellectually disciplined process of actively and skillfully conceptualizing, applying, analyzing, synthesizing, and evaluating information to reach an answer or conclusion; a reasonable, reflective thinking focused on deciding what to believe or do.

　　Inductive and deductive reasoning skills such as analysis, evaluation, and predicting.

　　Problem-solving skills, using a math heuristic to outline the process.
