五一勞動節(jié)起源

 

　　1886年5月1日，芝加哥的20多萬工人為爭取實行八小時工作制而舉行大罷工，經(jīng)過艱苦的流血斗爭，終于獲得了勝利。為紀(jì)念這次工人運動，由各國馬克思主義者召集的社會主義者代表大會代表一致同意：把5月1日定為國際無產(chǎn)階級的共同節(jié)日。這一決議得到世界各國工人的積極響應(yīng)。走上街頭，舉行盛大的**與集會，爭取合法權(quán)益。從此，每逢這一天世界各國的勞動人民都要集會、*，以示慶祝。

 

　　On May 1, 1886, more than 200, 000 workers in Chicago went on strike for the eight-hour working day. After a bitter bloody struggle, they finally won. To commemorate the workers' movement, the representatives of the socialist congress convened by the national marxists unanimously agreed that the 1st May as a common festival of the international proletariat. This resolution has received positive responses from workers around the world. Take to the streets, hold a grand demonstration and rally, fight for the legitimate rights and interests. Since then, on this day, the working people of all countries around the world have to rally and parade to celebrate.

 

　　中國人民慶祝勞動節(jié)的活動可追溯至1918年。是年，一些革命的知識分子在上海、蘇州等地向群眾散發(fā)介紹“五一”的傳單。1920年5月1日，北京、上海、廣州等城市的工人群眾走上街頭舉行了聲勢浩大的*、集會。新中國成立后，我國于1949年12月將“五一”定為法定的勞動節(jié)。

 

　　The Chinese people's celebration of labor day dates back to 1918. It was the year that some revolutionary intellectuals distributed leaflets to the masses in Shanghai, suzhou and other places. On May 1, 1920, workers in Beijing, Shanghai, guangzhou and other cities took to the streets to hold a huge parade and rally. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, the "May 1" was designated as the legal labor day in December 1949.
