An old man dies. He leaves his son a lot of money. But the son is a foolish young man, and he quickly spends all the money. Of course, when that happens, all his friends leave him. When he is poor and alone, he goes to see a kind, clever old man. The old man often helps people.

　　一位老人死了。他留給他的兒子一大筆錢，但這個兒子是個愚蠢的年輕人，他很快把錢全部花光了。當然，這個時候，他的朋友 也就全都離開他了。在他非常貧窮和孤獨的時候，他去找一位善良、聰明的老人，這位老人經(jīng)常幫助別人。

　　“I have no money and I have no friends,” says the young man, “What sill happen to me?”

　　“我沒有錢了，也沒有朋友了，”年輕人說：“現(xiàn)在我怎么辦呢?”

　　“Don’t worry, young man,” answers the old man, “everything will soon be all right. Wait and you will soon feel much happier.”

　　“別擔心，年輕人。”老人回答說：“一切都會很快好起來的。等等吧，你不久就會感到快樂很多。”

　　The young man is very glad. “Am I going to get rich again then?” he asked.

　　這位年輕人很高興。“是不是我會很快重新富起來?”他問道。

　　“No,” says the old man, “You will soon get used to being poor and having no friends.”

　　“不，”老人說：“你很快就會習慣于貧窮和沒有朋友的生活。”
