　　Over a river there was a very narrow bridge.

　　河上有一座窄窄的獨(dú)木橋。

　　One day a goat was crossing this bridge.

　　一天，一只小羊正在過橋。

　　Just at the middle of the bridge he met another goat.

　　走到一半，他碰到了另一只羊。

　　There was no room for them to pass.

　　橋上太擠，只能讓一只羊過去。

　　“Go back，” said one goat to the other， “There is no room for both of us”.

　　“你快后退，”一只羊?qū)α硪恢谎蛘f，“我們兩個(gè)過不去。”

　　“Why should I go back？” said the other goat. “Better you must go back.” “

　　為什么要我后退？”另一只羊說，“你才要后退。”

　　“You must go back”， said the first goat， “because I am stronger than you.”

　　“你回去”，第一只羊說，“因?yàn)槲冶饶銖?qiáng)壯。”

　　“You are not stronger than I”， said the second goat.

　　“你哪里比我強(qiáng)壯了”，第二只羊說。

　　“We will see about that”， said the first goat and he put down his horns to fight.

　　“那就來試試看吧”，第一只羊說著，他低下了頭，準(zhǔn)備用羊角來打架。

　　“Stop！” said the second goat.

　　“快停下”，第二只羊說。

　　“If we fight， we shall both fall into the river and be drowned. I have a plan. I will lie down and you may walk over me.”

　　“如果我們打架的話，都會(huì)掉到河里淹死。我有個(gè)主意，我躺下，你從我身上跨過去。”

　　Then the wise one laid down on the bridge and the other goat walked highly over him.

　　聰明的小羊躺在橋上，讓另一只羊跨了過去。

　　So they crossed the bridge comfortably and went on their ways.

　　兩只小羊都安全的過了橋，高興地離開了。
