Polly

　　Lucy has a new pet. Do you know what kind of bird it is?

　　露西養(yǎng)了一只新寵物。你知道這是一只什么鳥嗎？

　　Lucy calls her Polly. 露西叫它波利。

　　Polly can say, “Poor Poll! Poor Poll! Polly wants a cracker; and she can mew like a cat.”

　　波利會(huì)說(shuō)：“可憐的鸚鵡！可憐的鸚鵡！波利想要一塊餅干。而且，她還會(huì)學(xué)貓叫呢。

　　But Polly and the cat are not good friends.

　　但波利和貓不是好朋友。

　　One day Polly flew down, and lit upon the cat’s back when she was asleep.

　　一天，當(dāng)這只貓睡覺(jué)的時(shí)候，波利飛了下來(lái)，然后落在了這只貓的背上。

　　I think she knew the cat would not like that, and she did it to tease her.

　　我想它知道貓不喜歡這樣，它這么做是為了欺負(fù)這只貓。

　　When Lucy pets the cat, Polly flies up into the old apple tree, and will not come when she calls her. Then Lucy says, “What a silly bird!”

　　當(dāng)露西逗弄這只貓玩時(shí)，波利就飛到大蘋果樹上。露西叫它的時(shí)候，它也不出來(lái)。露西說(shuō)：“這只鳥真淘氣！”
